News update Olympic Framework
‘Rowing is the only sport in which one reaches the finish line backwards, and that’s exactly what One Architecture and Zwarts & Jansma are doing with their design for the Olympic Framework (OHS) - namely, look ahead to 2028, while one can only draw on the experience of the past’, thus Jord den Hollander introduced the OHS workshop on Wednesday, October 27. In this animated workshop together with a large number of present, progress in the design of the Olympic Framwork was discussed.
From May 2010, the combination One Architecture and Zwarts & Jansma to are working on the design of the Olympic Framework, commissioned by the Ministry of I and M (Infrastructure and Environment). To achieve a quality result for the design of the OHS the working process is kept as open as possible. Much knowledge as possible is absorbed and distributed in close cooperation with the Alliantie Olympisch Vuur and experts and stakeholders within the business community. The participants of the workshops have worked in four groups around the themes of water, innovation, society and Smart Games. Concluding Henk Ovink, Spatial Director at the Ministry I and M, called the afternoon ‘very inspiring’.
