Urban renewal

One Architecture is gradually discovering their own unique way of working in urban renewal. We are currently working on three projects of complex urban renewal, commissioned by municipality and/or housing corporations. These projects are: Slotermeer-Noord in Amsterdam, Rivierenwijk in Deventer and Gouda Oost. Participation of residents, questions of renovation versus demolition, development strategies, sustainability, phased development, housing types, .... While we have a holistic approach towards these issues, we discover we are very good at making things simple. We provide scenarios and strategies that cover all subjects in an open way, flexible to future -yet unknown- developments.

One Architecture will be joining the salon “De Crisis Voorbij” (Beyond the crisis) during the KEI Partnerbijeenkomst on Thursday the 30st of October. Topic of the salon is a new approach towards urban renewal after the economic crisis. Experts from different backgrounds will talk about this topic and a paper will be presented, of which Matthijs Bouw is one of the co-authors.
