One leads workshop for Randstad 2040
The Ministry VROM has commissioned One Architecture to organize and host the Design Studio ‘Networks’ (Atelier Netwerken) for the Randstad 2040 project.
Together with a.o. Xaveer de Geyter (XDGA), Reinier de Graaf (OMA) and Rein Jansma (Zwarts en Jansma), One Architecture will develop a vision for the Randstad in 2040.

One Architecture is an Amsterdam based architecture and planning firm run by Matthijs Bouw. One Architecture wants to engage in the full complexity of today’s society. Architecture can be much more than building icons or making nice facades. It is deeply rooted in (local) culture and creates culture. Architecture can change organizations. It can help clients generate money. It can even have a political impact. One Architecture’s work integrates design and process. One Architecture’s approach has resulted in successful projects which include the much discussed design for Les Halles in Paris (with OMA and XDGA) in 2004 and urban plans for Deventer, Gouda, Eindhoven and Tbilisi (Georgia).
