The surrounding of the Neanderthal Museum is to be changed, so that the Museum and the finding site of the bones will be connected and accessible to visitors
The Neandertal of today is a man made product of excessive limestone mining. And as it was mankind who destroyed the extremes of the landscape, it can be mankind to give it back again. The gorge with its width, narrowness, height,... is more than just a connection between the museum and the finding site. The proportions of the gorge are such that the amount of limestone excavated can be sold to fund the creation of almost the entire gorge.
